Setting Off

I set off for, “A great Irish Adventure”. Before leaving I went up in the hills for one long last walk with the dog, did all those last minute things, which I needed to do, and left.

It was hot, sunny with occasional heavy bursts of summer rain and it was uneventful I crossed the Severn Bridge in glorious sunshine and marvelled as always at its amazing structure. As I moved further into the heart of Wales the landscape changed, woolly hills replacing more jagged ones. Finally at seven I arrived in Fishguard to the Seaview Hotel, easy to find just across the road form the Port and with a magnificent sunset lighting up the bay and the hills. As night came down there were dots and dashes of light from the little rows of pink and blue terraced houses on the hill in the background.

Uneventful crossing the sea as flat as a pancake, why a pancake? and another beautiful sunny day.

Tomorrow I will be able to start adding images.
